The Vasarely Foundation

Facing the Sainte-Victoire Mountain, admired by Vasarely through Cézanne’s paintings, the Vasarely Foundation in Aix-en-Provence, architectonic center, represents Vasarely’s vision and commitment to « the polychromatic city of happiness ». Completed in 1976, it is made up of 16 hexagonal cells and showcases 44 monumental works. A unique, unusual and utopian place, it is Vasarely’s masterpiece and ultimate accomplishment, bringing art and architecture together as one. A must-see destination !

There are also two Vasarely museums in Hungary, one in his home town of Pecs and the other in Budapest. Both hold rare and priceless works.
